Do you use the same water and sponge for each person?
Keeping a clean and sanitary station is very important to help minimize the spread of germs. I use clean sponges and fresh water for every person along with non-scented Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap. The sponges and brushes are cleaned and sanitized before every event.
What areas do you serve?
I cover most of North Denver. Events outside my service area will incur a gas fee depending on milage.
Local Areas: Westminster, North Westminster, Northglenn, Thornton
What do I need to provide?
Space of 6X6 feet minimum to accommodate my face paint kit and director's chair, protection from the elements and sun, access to water, a place away from physical activities and loud music, good lighting when working at night or indoors.
How many faces can you do in an hour?
Depending on intricacy of the designs, I can paint 12-17 faces an hour. Please keep this in mind when booking.
What kind of make up do you use?
I use high quality, FDA approved water based make up that is safe/non-toxic to use on the face and body. It is smudge resistant after it dries on clean skin but not water-proof. I also use cosmetic glitter.
What if my child has sensitive skin?
Just like with cosmetics, I cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur. I can offer a patch test on the arm before getting painted.
Can you paint a person who is sick or has a skin condition?
To prevent the spread of illness, I can offer to paint on their arm or hand (after wiping with a cleansing cloth). I do not paint on open wounds or infectious skin conditions.
What if my child doesn't want one?
I try to catch their interest by offering to paint their hand or arm but if they are scared or not willing, I will not force them to. For safety reasons, I do not paint any child under 2 years old.
How do I remove the make up?
Use make up remover and/or warm water and mild soap. Gently massage lathered soap into skin and rinse with warm water. Rubbing the skin firmly with wash cloths or baby wipes may cause irritation.
Notice: Some colors (like blues and greens) may leave a stain longer on dryer type skin.
